FinnFunn Weekend 2007 & 2008
The 15th Anniversary was held at the Hartford/Windsor Airport Marriott in Windsor, CT in October of 2007. This event with over 300 participants was sponsored by The Finnish American Heritage Society and chaired by Anita and Jack Smiley. Events included: Weekend Tours: ¨ The Essex Steam Train & Riverboat Ride ¨ Finnish History in Eastern Connecticut Tori Market Weaving Exhibit Showing of the Documentary "Fire & Ice ” with author and director Ben Strout presiding. Presentation of the original play “The Hat Box” written by Hannu Makipuro and music composed by Mark Makipuro
